The client is a deep-rooted provider of excess, surplus, specialty property and casualty insurance. Their teams handle a great amount of claims, with each claim supported by various forms and documents. These forms need to be stored and updated throughout the claim life span.

The system that used to manage these accompanying documents has become outdated. The obsolete system did not meet operational needs. The client needed a modern solution that could improve usability and reliability. The client preferred a solution to perform without disrupting ongoing claims processing.

Challenges

  • The current application for handling claim related forms and documents was outdated. This current application was unable to meet the current business requirements.

The users mostly faced delays in receiving notifications. The delays made it difficult to stay informed about claim updates.

  • There were no proper access controls in place, that left sensitive claim information available to users.
  • The overall interface was difficult to use. This complex interface slowed down routine tasks and caused complications.
